Split (ex) - Slashing and piercing weapons deal no damage to the Carnivorous Blob. Instead, it splits into two identical forms, each with half of the original's current hit points (round down). Pieces of the orignal continue to split until they have less than 10 hit points. Each piece dies at 0 hit points.
Attacks
- Melee (Natural) - 1 x slam +17 (8d6+19 and grab). Reach: 30 ft. Absorb Flesh - When the Carnivorous Blob slams or constricts its prey, it begins absorbing the flesh of its victims at a voracious speed. Every time it does damage, it automatically inflicts 1d4 points of Constitution damage as their flesh is ingested. At 0 Con, the target dies and is completely absorbed. The creature then discards the bones, plant matter, or any inorganic materials. Living victims of the blob's absorb flesh ability find themselves emaciated and missing some of their body mass with their skin burned away as if dissolved in acid. Healing this damage first requires treatment of the absorbed flesh. For each long rest where the victim is tended to by someone with the Medicine Skill (provide care DC 15) he regains one point of Con Damage. Alternately, a regenerate spell will completely restore the victim and allow him to recover all Con damage in 2d10 rounds.
Each time the Carnivorous Blob absorbs flesh it heals 10 hit points. Hit points beyond its max become temporary hit points. As soon as it has at least 50 temporary hit points, it loses those temporary hit points and splits automatically. Constrict - Each time the Carnivorous Blob successfully hits an opponent, it can make a grapple check as a free action to see if it holds its opponent. If successful, the creature is grappled. On any successful grapple check (including this initial one) the target automatically takes bludgeoning damage equal to the damage typically dealt by this attack. Grab - Each time this attack is successful, the Carnivorous Blob can make a grapple check as a free action to see if it holds his opponent. If successful, the opponent is grappled. Grabbing does not provoke an attack of opportunity
Reactive Strike (Reaction)(ex) - Whenever the Carnivorous Blob takes damage, it reflexively lashes out with a slam attack. This ability effectively grants it an attack of opportunity against any adjacent foe that deals it damage. These attacks of opportunity do not count against the normal limit the creature can make in a round. Whenever a creature takes cold damage, the creature cannot use its reactive strike ability until after it takes its next action in combat.

Rolling and twitching like a massive wad of translucent ooze, this crimson blob reaches out amorphous pseudopods in all directions.
While sages debate whether the first carnivorous blobs were created by a mad wizard, formed in foul fleshwarping vats in some sinister city, or traveled to this world trapped in the core of a meteor, there is one thing they all agree on-none wish to get close enough to study the monstrosity. Carnivorous blobs move like a typical ooze, rolling out blobs of its fleshy material in haphazard directions, and pulling its bulk across the ground, up walls, and even through the water. If a carnivorous blob goes for more than 24 hours without a source of food, it drops into a sort of hibernation, resembling nothing so much as a pool of gelatinous blood. The creature springs to life quickly and hungrily as soon as any living prey comes within range of its senses.
