Cantrips

All cantrips have a casting time of a bonus action and verbal and somatic components. Cantrips cannot deal damage or affect the concentration of spellcasters. They also cannot replicate the effects of any other spell.


Alter Appearance

Range: Self

Duration: Maintained Concentration + 1 minute

Description: You change one minor aspect of your appearance (color of your eyes, hair style, clothes, tattoo, make up, etc.). You can only change one feature at a time. Regardless of what you change, you will always be recognizable as yourself.

Amplify Voice

Range: Self

Duration: Maintained Concentration

Description: You amplify your voice to be up to three times as loud as it normally is.

Arcane Mark

Range: touch

Duration: Permanent

Description: This spell allows you to inscribe your personal rune or mark on an inanimate surface without harming it. The marks must fit within 1 sq. ft. It doesn't harm the surface of the object. It can be visible or invisible. When invisible, detect magic or similar spells will reveal it.

Clean

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Maintained Concentration

Description: You can clean, polish, or soil 1-foot cube worth of an object for each round you maintain concentration.

Clock

Range: Self

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You instantly know the current time or how much time as passed since a certain event you have witnessed.

Control Fire

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You instantly light or snuff out a candle, a torch, or a small campfire.

Control Water

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Varies

Description: As long as you concentrate, you can make a gentle current in a body of water. This current is not strong enough to displace the water but can be used to move small objects on it. Alternately, you can concentrate to cause the water to change color or opacity within a 5-foot cube. Finally, you can freeze a 5-foot square of water creating ice one-inch thick, provided there are no creatures in it. This happens instantaneously and doesn't require concentration. None of the changes made to water have enough force to deal damage.

Corpse Light

Range: Touch

Duration: 8 hours, or until dismissed

Description: You cause a corpse or undead to glow bright enough to see in the dark. You can dismiss the effect at any time.

Create Beverage

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You create a cup worth of water or other beverage. The beverage you can create is chosen when you learn this cantrip and cannot be changed. You may learn this cantrip more than once, choosing a different beverage each time. This cantrip can only be used to make mundane beverages, not magical or exotic ones.

Decompose

Range: touch

Duration: instantaneous

Description: You cause the flesh from a single corpse (sized Large or smaller) to decompose rapidly. If the creature has a skeletal system, it is left with a perfectly cleaned skeleton.

Dictate

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Maintained Concentration

Description: You cause words to appear as you think them on a mundane sheet of paper nearby. You can mentally dictate as long as you maintain concentration and as long as there is space on the page to receive your writing. You cannot use dictate to scribe scrolls or other magical items.

Dress

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You instantly dress or undress one willing target within range. This spell works on mundane clothing only, not armor.

Druidcraft

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You instantly make a flower blossom, a seed pod open, a leaf bud bloom, or similar effect.

Flavor

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You can chill, warm, or flavor 1 pound of nonliving material.

Float

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Maintained Concentration

Description: You cause a submerged object or creature (medium sized or less) to immediately float to the surface at a movement speed of 30. If the creature is already able to move toward the surface, it speed is increased by 30. If a creature attempts to move in any direction other than up, the spell's effect is broken. Float only requires a somatic component, not a verbal one.

Horn of Pursuit

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You create the sound of a large hunting horn, blowing up to three notes as loud as a roaring dragon. These notes can be heard up to 2 miles away in typical outdoor conditions.

Mage Hand

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Maintained Concentration

Description: A spectral, floating hand appears at a point you choose within range. The hand lasts for as long as you maintain concentration on it. The hand vanishes if it is ever more than 30 feet away from you or if you cast this spell again.

While maintaining concentration you can control the hand, using it to manipulate an object, open an unlocked door or container, stow or retrieve an item from an open container, or pour the contents out of a vial. You can move the hand up to 30 feet each round. The hand can�t attack, activate magic items, trigger pressure plate or other complex traps, pick locks, or carry more than 10 pounds.

Measure

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You are instantly able to know the distance between two objects, the weight of on object, or the volume of a container or room. You must be able to see the extent points in the objects that you are measuring.

Minor Creation

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You can create a small hand-sized object like a trinket, toy, game piece, calling card, button, or bead. Items created with this cantrip are crude and fragile and cannot be used as tools, weapons, or spell components. They also cannot be created from valuable materials.

Minor Illusion

Range: 30 feet

Duration: 1 round

Description: You create a harmless sensory effect, such as falling leaves, a puff of wind, the sound of a small animal, or the faint odor of skunk. The sound of talking can be mimicked, but intelligible words cannot be reproduced. The effect must fit in a 5-foot cube.

Oilskin

Range: Touch

Duration: 1 day

Description: The object you touch becomes waterproof. It's impervious to water damage and damage from water-based effects.

Predict Weather

Range: self

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: You create a harmless sensory effect (such as a hand-size image, an illusory colored ball, etc.) that predicts the weather a few days out.

Rumble

Range: 30 feet

Duration: Maintained Concentration

Description: You cause the ground to rumble around you for dramatic effect. The rumble is large enough to impress an audience but not strong enough to drown out conversation or break concentration.

Shape Earth

Range: 0 ft.

Duration: Instantaneous

Description: Provided the earth below you in a 5-foot radius is hard, natural ground (dirt, stone, clay) you can shape and disrupt it to create rough terrain. You can also move or excavate dirt, though it takes 1 minute to excavate a 5-foot cube.

Summon Instrument

Range: 0 ft.

Duration: 1 hour (D)

Description: This spell summons one handheld musical instrument of your choice. This instrument appears in your hands or at your feet (your choice). The instrument is typical for its type. Only one instrument appears per casting, and it will play only for you. You can't summon an instrument too large to be held in two hands.

Summon Tool

Range: 0 ft.

Duration: 1 hour (D)

Description: This cantrip summons one tool of your choice, determined when you first learn it. The tool appears in your hands or at your feet (your choice) and is typical for its type. Masterwork items, weapons, and kits cannot be summoned by this cantrip. Only one tool appears per casting, and it can only be used by you or else the spell fails.
