Casting Time: Standard

Range: 120 ft

Duration: 10 min., Concentration

Saving Throw: STR negates

Spell Resistance: No

Description: This spell creates an anchored plane of ice or a hemisphere of ice, depending on the version selected. A wall of ice cannot form in an area occupied by physical objects or creatures. Its surface must be smooth and unbroken when created. Any creature adjacent to the wall when it is created may attempt a STR save to disrupt the wall as it is being formed. A successful save indicates that the spell automatically fails.

The wall can be damaged like normal objects. The wall itself has a hardness and a thickness (in inches) equal to your level. Fire causes the wall to melt and does normal damage to it (not half, like usual). Completely melting a section of the wall of ice in one round creates a great cloud of steamy fog that lasts for 1 minute. If a single attempt is made to break through the wall with strength along, the break DC is 25. Even when the ice has been broken through, a sheet of frigid air remains. Any creature stepping through it takes 1d6+10 points of cold damage (no save).

Two types of walls can be made:

Ice Plane: A sheet of strong, hard ice appears. The wall covers up to forty 5-foot-squares in area. The plane can be oriented in any fashion as long as it is anchored. A vertical wall need only be anchored on the floor, while a horizontal or slanting wall must be anchored on two opposite sides.

Hemisphere: The wall takes the form of a hemisphere up to 15 feet in radius. It does not deal cold damage to those who go through a breach.

Leveling: Area of the wall increases by 25 ft square for each level above 4th.
